Typing practice
Good practice works on the keys that give you errors. This page starts in Weak keys mode to do that.
After each test, the page counts your hits and errors for each key. The next test uses more words with the letters you miss.
At the start you have no mistakes saved, so the first test uses normal words. Take a test, and the practice begins to adapt.
Take the test

How to use it
- Take one test. Type slowly and try to be right.
- Look at your weak keys in the results.
- Take the next test. It uses more words with those letters.
- Repeat each day, and watch your accuracy go up.
How the score is worked out
Speed in words per minute (WPM) is the number of correct characters, divided by 5, divided by the minutes you typed.
How adaptive practice works
The page saves a count of hits and errors for each key, in your browser only.
For each letter with an error, the page works out the share of errors. A word with letters of a high share is many times more likely to come.
Weak keys mode picks words by letters only. Symbols show in your weak keys list, but they do not change the words.
A short practice plan
Take three tests of 60 seconds each day. Look at the weak keys list after each test.
Go slowly at first. Accuracy comes first, and speed follows. A few minutes each day work better than one long session a week.
To start again, choose Clear history in the history section.
Questions
What is adaptive typing practice?
The text changes to fit what you need. After each test the page learns which keys you miss. The next test uses more words with those keys.
Why does my first practice test use normal words?
The page has no mistakes saved yet. After you make some mistakes in a test, the Weak keys mode has data to use.
How often should I practice?
A few minutes each day is better than one long session each week. Take two or three tests of 60 seconds. Look at your weak keys after each one.
Can I reset my weak keys?
Yes. Choose Clear history in the history section. It removes your results and the counts of hits and errors for each key.
